Photo Booth rental question - Do I need a scrapbook?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - Getting a scrapbook is your choice and it is an option that we highly recommend. This is a book of all the photos that you will keep forever. Years from now you will look back at these photos and remember how much fun people had at your reception.

Photo Booth rental question - Can I do a scrapbook myself or will you do it for us?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - Some of our clients will do the scrapbooks themselves by getting a family member or friend to handle this task. This can be overwhelming and whoever is doing your scrapbook will miss the party.

We highly recommend that if you decide to have a scrapbook created that you allow us to handle this for you. It comes at an additional cost but it will take all the worries out of your hands.

Photo Booth rental question - How much time do you need for setup?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - Set up takes about 45 minutes. We prefer to arrive two hours before the event starts to get everything just right.

Photo Booth rental question - What are props and what is the purpose to have them?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - Props can add a whole new dimension to the fun that can be had inside our photo booth. Whether crazy hats or sunglasses, props can bring out the fun in all your guests.
You can provide your own props or we can provide them for you at an additional fee (see options).

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - Embellishments can be used to decorate your photo booth to fit the colors or theme of your evening.

Photo Booth rental question - What is a reprint and why would I need them?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - There a two photo strips that will appear for your guests. One strip goes in your scrapbook and the other to the guest.

If more than one person goes in the booth there will be only one photo strip to share. Additional copies of the original photo strip can be printed after your event for the other guests at an additional cost.

Photo Booth rental question - We are going to have large groups of people in the photo booth and would like to know if they all get a photo strip?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - Each picture prints two identical photo strips. That gives you one photo strip for a guest and one for your scrapbook.

This however does not mean that everyone else that was in the photo booth does not get a picture.

Thanks to our newest upgrade to the software you can now have as many reprints as you want anytime after the event, for an additional fee.

The original photo strip that was taken now comes with a unique number located at the bottom of the strip. That number can be used to get as many reprints as you need.

You will be asked to fill out an order form and to include the number from the bottom of the original photo strip.

Once your request has been submitted to us you will receive a payment link in your email. As soon as your payment is complete your reprint(s) will be mailed to you.

Photo Booth rental question - What is the difference in paper size?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - Our standard photo strip paper is 4 x 6(right). If you would like larger pictures you can choose our larger 5x7(left) paper at an additional cost.

Photo Booth rental question - What is “idle” time?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - There may be a time in your evening when the guests will be participating in other activities such as dinner. During this time we can go “idle” so that you are not using your rental time. During this idle time the photo booth will not be operational. Idle time is $25.00 per half hour.

Photo Booth rental question - How many pictures can be taken at the event?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - In the perfect setting the time is about 3 minutes per photo session. This may take a little longer depending on the pace of the guests.

Photo Booth rental question - Do I receive all pictures taken at the event?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - One week after your event you will be given 1 non-edited DVD of every picture taken during the event. This is complimentary. Additional DVD’s can be ordered at an additional cost.

Photo Booth rental question - How far in advance should I book the Photo Booth?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - As soon as you have made your decision to have a photo booth we recommend getting it booked. Photo booths are limited in availability and book quickly. With that being said, even if your reception is coming soon you can still call for availability.

Photo Booth rental question - What are the payment options?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - We require a $250.00 non-refundable retainer to secure the date. The remaining balance must be paid 30 days prior to the event. In the case that your event is scheduled sooner than 30 days we require the balance to be paid in full at the agreement signing.
Payments can be made by cash, check, or credit card.

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - Along with the Photo booth we also rent 40’ High Definition LCD TVs, projectors and screens. Call for availability.

Photo Booth rental question - Is there Sales tax?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - Yes, our Photo Booth rental service is subject to local sales tax.

Photo Booth rental question - Is your Photo Booth up to fire code?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - Yes, we use flame retardant drapery.

Photo Booth rental question - What if my time with you expires during my event and I decide I want to keep the rental going?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - No problem! The additional hour(s) of Photo booth rental can be provided at $150 per hour.

Photo Booth rental question - How do I reserve the photo booth

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - When you are ready to reserve our Photo Booth service simply give us a call and we will send you a rental agreement to sign. A $250.00 non-refundable retainer is required to secure the date. The remaining balance must be paid 30 days prior to the event.

In the case that your event is scheduled sooner than 30 days we require the balance to be paid in full at the agreement signing. Payments can be made by cash, check, or credit card.

Photo Booth rental question - Is the Photo Booth handicap-accessible?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - Yes our Photo Booth has been designed to accommodate handicap participants.
Our Photo Booth is 5 feet wide 8 feet long and 7 feet tall.

Photo Booth rental question - What if something goes wrong?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - Due to the importance of our promise to deliver our Photo Booth service to you we have a full backup of critical components for the photo booth in the unlikely event that something should fail. If needed, these components can be replaced quickly and quietly.

Photo Booth rental question - What is the process for using the photo booth?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - Once your event begins your DJ will make an announcement that the Photo Booth is available and will encourage guests to participate.
The process is quick and easy:

1. Step in to the Photo Booth
2. You will be prompted to adjust your position by looking at the monitor
3. Easy to read instructions will tell you to push the button to begin the photo session
4. A countdown will be displayed and 4 shots will be taken with 5 seconds between each of the 4 photos.
5. A preview of your photo strip will appear on the monitor
6. If you like the way your photo strip looks you can push the print button. Or, you will have the option to retake the photos.
7. 10 seconds later your photo strip will be printed and will appear in the basket below the monitor.

If you are using our scrapbook service:
People will come out from the Photo Booth with the 2 photo strips printed on 4 x 6 paper. Our scrapbook attendant will then cut the paper in half. One strip will go into the scrapbook along with a short note from your guest. The second strip will be for the guest to keep.

Photo Booth rental question - What are your requirements at the location?

Kansas City Photo Booth answer - Our requirements are very simple. We need an area that will fit a 5 x 8 foot photo booth, electrical outlets within 10 feet, and a 6 foot table if you are using our scrapbook service.
